Charging an EV on a standard 120V outlet adds only 3–5 miles of range per hour. A Level 2 charger on a 240V circuit adds 25–40 miles per hour, which is why nearly every EV owner ends up booking an EV charger installation.
Hardwired vs. plug-in (NEMA 14-50)
A NEMA 14-50 outlet lets you plug in a mobile connector and take it with you. A hardwired Tesla Wall Connector or ChargePoint delivers up to 48 amps and looks cleaner. Both need a dedicated 40–60 amp circuit.
Does my panel have room?
A 200 amp panel usually handles a charger easily. A 100 amp panel may need load management or a panel upgrade. We run a load calculation before quoting.
What drives the price
